African Dawn – Eau de Parfum

African-Dawn600

In designing African Dawn I wanted to capture the essence of Africa, using only the beautiful African essences. The perfume opens with the fresh herbal notes of Blue Grass and Cape May that mellows into a heart of the Comorian Ylang Ylang, Egyptian Jasmin and Moroccan Rose, spiced with Coriander, Cinnamon, Cloves and Buchu. De Hoop was the winner of the Chypre challenge. [Read more...]

Yirgacheffe – Eau de Parfum

Yirgacheffe

I was inspired to create Yirgacheffe after reading the description of Yirgacheffe coffee. The town of Yirgacheffe (Irgachefe) is in Ethiopia’s Sidamo area. Some say that the Yirgacheffe area is the site of coffee’s origins and is known as one of the best coffees in the world. Yirgacheffee coffee is described as a complexity of floral notes in the aroma, sometimes with a hint of toasted coconut. [Read more...]
